Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Civil Business and Labor Law (JCBLL) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin or similar software prior to peer review.

Acceptable Similarity Level

  • The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20% (excluding references, bibliography, and quoted materials).
  • Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to authors for revision before further processing.

Types of Plagiarism

  • Direct plagiarism: Verbatim copying of text without attribution
  • Self-plagiarism: Reuse of one's own previously published work without disclosure
  • Mosaic plagiarism: Paraphrasing someone else's work with minor changes without citation
  • Accidental plagiarism: Unintentional failure to cite sources properly

Consequences

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism will be immediately rejected. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted with a formal notice published in the journal. Authors found to have committed deliberate plagiarism may be banned from future submissions.

Self-Plagiarism and Duplicate Submission

Authors must ensure their manuscript has not been previously published and is not under review elsewhere. Duplicate submissions will result in immediate rejection.
