2
Section Editor Evaluation
Manuscripts passing initial screening are assigned to a Section Editor for further evaluation before forwarding to reviewers.
3

At least two independent experts assess originality, methodology, data quality, analysis, and contribution to Islamic law and contemporary studies. Recommendations: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
4
Revision & Re-review
Authors submit a revised manuscript with a response document. Manuscripts requiring substantial changes may undergo re-review.
5
Final Decision & Publication
Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout, and galley proof. Published 3 times/year (March, July, November).
