Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process
Journal of Social Science and Information Studies (JSSIS) implements a strict and structured double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent experts under a double-blind system, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential.
1
Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts go through an initial editorial screening to check relevance to the journal's scope, completeness of required components, and similarity level, with a maximum allowed similarity of 25% excluding references.

2
Section Editor Evaluation

Manuscripts that pass the initial stage are assigned to a Section Editor for further evaluation before being forwarded to reviewers.

3
Double-Blind Review

Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts. Reviewers assess originality, methodology, data quality, analysis, contribution to the field, and overall structure. Recommendations: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

4
Revision & Re-review

The Editor communicates review results to authors, who must submit a revised manuscript with a response document. Revised manuscripts requiring substantial changes may undergo re-review.

5
Final Decision & Publication

Once revisions are adequate, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision. Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout, and galley proof before publication. The journal publishes 3 times a year (March, July, November).
